SAP Advisor – SAP S/4HANA Transformation Program
Position Summary:
The SAP Advisor will serve as a subject matter expert supporting a large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementation program. The role is responsible for providing strategic guidance, reviewing implementation partner deliverables, validating solution decisions against SAP best practices, and ensuring alignment with program objectives, Clean Core principles, and Fit-to-Standard methodology.
The SAP Advisor does not perform system configuration or development activities but acts as a trusted advisor to the client leadership team throughout the transformation lifecycle.
Key ResponsibilitiesSAP Advisory & Quality Assurance
- Provide independent SAP S/4HANA functional and process guidance across business domains including:
- Finance (FI/CO)
- Procurement (P2P)
- Order Management (O2C)
- Manufacturing
- Supply Chain & Inventory Management
- Review implementation partner solution designs and recommendations.
- Validate alignment with SAP standard capabilities and Fit-to-Standard principles.
- Promote adoption of SAP leading practices and Clean Core strategy.
- Identify areas where customizations may introduce unnecessary complexity or future support risks.
Design & Solution Reviews
- Participate in:
- Fit-to-Standard Workshops
- Solution Design Reviews
- Process Validation Sessions
- Integration Design Discussions
- Challenge proposed solutions where appropriate and provide alternative recommendations.
- Review key deliverables including:
- Solution Design Documents
- Functional Specifications
- Process Flows
- Configuration Strategy
- Data Migration Approach
- Testing Strategy
Program Oversight
- Assess overall solution readiness against program milestones.
- Provide objective feedback to project leadership regarding:
- Design maturity
- Risks
- Gaps
- Dependencies
- Support governance forums and steering committee discussions with SAP-related insights.
- Assist in identifying program risks associated with SAP solution design and deployment.
Stakeholder Enablement
- Guide business process owners and business leads on SAP implementation best practices.
- Educate stakeholders on:
- SAP S/4HANA capabilities
- Fit-to-Standard approach
- Organizational readiness requirements
- Change impacts
- Help business teams understand implementation partner recommendations and implications.
Risk & Issue Support
- Review SAP-related risks and issues raised during the program.
- Recommend mitigation approaches and resolution options.
- Provide impact assessments for major design or scope decisions.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of SAP implementation experience.
- Experience participating in multiple SAP transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA implementation methodologies.
- Experience with SAP Activate and Fit-to-Standard approaches.
- Knowledge of SAP Clean Core principles.
- Strong understanding of business processes across:
- Finance
- Procurement
- Supply Chain
- Manufacturing
- Order-to-Cash
- Experience working with executive stakeholders and business leadership teams.
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience serving in:
- SAP Advisory roles
- Program Governance roles
- PMO/TMO environments
- Independent Quality Assurance (QA) reviews
- SAP S/4HANA certifications.
- Experience reviewing work performed by system integrators or implementation partners.
- Experience supporting large-scale global transformation programs.
Pay: ₹567,080.27 - ₹2,097,033.95 per year
