Job Overview
Quantum Pulse Technologies is looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Business Data
Analyst to join our growing analytics team at the SECE Innovation Hub, Coimbatore. In
this role, you will bridge raw operational data and executive decision-making by turning
complex business datasets into clear, actionable insights. You will design interactive
dashboards, build analytical data models, analyze market/product performance, and partner
with cross-functional product, finance, and engineering teams to drive data-informed business
strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Business Reporting & Dashboards: Design, develop, and maintain high-impact
executive dashboards and automated reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or
Looker.
Data Mining & ETL Pipelines: Query large, multi-source relational and non-
relational databases to extract, clean, and model structured data for business
intelligence (BI) operations.
Business Performance Analysis: Perform ad-hoc analysis, exploratory data analysis
(EDA), trend forecasting, and cohort analysis to evaluate product growth, operational
efficiency, and revenue metrics.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, marketing teams,
and leadership to identify key business metrics (KPIs), translate ambiguous business
problems into technical requirements, and deliver data stories.
Statistical Modeling & Forecasting: Apply statistical methods, regression analysis,
and predictive modeling techniques to identify trends, forecast business growth, and
optimize operational resource allocation.
Data Quality & Governance: Establish processes for data hygiene, validation rules,
and consistency across internal reports, data warehouses, and BI tools.
Process Automation: Automate routine data processing and reporting tasks using
SQL procedures, Python, or R to reduce manual intervention.
Architected internal project requirements and facilitated high-impact training
programs to upskill enthusiastic internal talent.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Core Technical Skills:
Experience: 3 to 5 years in business data analysis, business intelligence, or product
analytics.
Advanced SQL: Expertise in complex SQL queries, window functions, CTEs, query
optimization, and schema design.
BI & Visualization Tools: Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Metabase
for building production-grade dashboards.
Data Analytics Languages: Hands-on experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy,
Matplotlib, Seaborn) or R for statistical analysis and data manipulation.
Data Warehousing: Working knowledge of modern data warehouses such as
Snowflake, Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift, or PostgreSQL.
Spreadsheets: Mastery of Excel/Google Sheets (VBA/Macros, Pivot Tables, Power
Query) for rapid data modeling.
Soft Skills:
Excellent data storytelling skills with the ability to articulate technical insights clearly
to non-technical business partners.
Strong business acumen and problem-solving mindset.
Ability to manage multiple analytical projects simultaneously in a fast-paced
environment.
Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
Relevant analytics certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst,
AWS Certified Data Analytics, or Google Data Analytics Certification).
Experience with cloud data platform analytics tools (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Exposure to machine learning concepts or predictive analytics frameworks.
