Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced AGM – Quality Control with a strong background in the Ferro Alloys industry. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in quality assurance, laboratory management, raw material inspection, finished product quality control, and implementation of quality systems. The candidate must have hands-on experience in ferro alloy manufacturing and should be capable of leading the complete quality function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Quality Control department for Ferro Alloys manufacturing operations.
- Ensure quality compliance of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
- Supervise laboratory testing, chemical analysis, and mechanical testing activities.
- Develop and implement quality standards, SOPs, and inspection procedures.
- Monitor process quality and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Investigate customer complaints, quality deviations, and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Purchase, and Dispatch departments to maintain product quality.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and other statutory quality requirements.
- Manage laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance schedules.
- Prepare quality reports, MIS, trend analysis, and present findings to management.
- Train and mentor the QC team to improve technical competency.
- Drive process optimization to reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints.
- Monitor supplier quality and evaluate incoming raw materials.
- Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness for internal and external quality audits.
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech/B.E. in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related discipline.
- M.Tech or relevant quality certifications will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 12–18+ years of experience in Quality Control within the Ferro Alloys industry.
- Minimum 4–5 years in a senior leadership role (AGM/DGM/Senior Manager – Quality).
- Candidates must have Ferro Alloy manufacturing experience.
