Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team, dedicated to designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and components for cutting-edge projects. Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems, schematics, PCB layouts, and control circuits using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
- Utilize simulation tools like MATLAB, Simulink, and SystemVerilog to model system behavior and verify design performance.
- Conduct root cause analysis on electrical failures or system malfunctions to identify issues swiftly and implement effective corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate FPGA-based solutions, SoC (System on Chip) components, and programmable logic controllers into larger systems.
- Perform engineering testing, debugging, and validation of electrical designs using oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, firmware tools, and scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
- Ensure compliance with electrical building codes (NEC), NFPA 70 standards for electrical safety, and industry-specific regulations during design and manufacturing processes.
- Support manufacturing by overseeing PCB fabrication, surface mount technology assembly, soldering processes, and quality assurance activities.
- Develop detailed documentation including schematics, technical reports, system development verification plans, and maintenance procedures.
- Engage in project scheduling to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist in the development of automation solutions for industrial processes utilizing control systems expertise in automation platforms like Arduino or ARM-based microcontrollers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on electronics design or electrical system development.
- Strong proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD Revit),
- Hands-on experience with PCB design—including layout, fabrication oversight, surface mount technology (SMT), and soldering techniques.
- Knowledge of FPGA programming using SystemVerilog or VHDL as well as embedded firmware development skills in C++, Python or Perl.
- Familiarity with control systems engineering principles including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial automation protocols.
- Understanding of electrical safety standards such as NFPA 70 compliance and mechanical knowledge related to electrical installations.
- Ability to perform signal processing analysis and troubleshooting using oscilloscopes or other diagnostic tools.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to integrating electrical components within mechanical assemblies; experience with Revit or MicroStation is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis; experience with debugging complex electronic systems is essential.
- Strong communication skills for documenting designs clearly and collaborating effectively across teams.
