We are seeking a responsible and organized Transport In-Charge to manage the transportation operations of our organization. The ideal candidate should ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective transport services while coordinating with drivers, staff, and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage daily transport schedules for staff, students, or goods.
- Supervise drivers, conductors, and support staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure timely maintenance, servicing, and registration of vehicles.
- Monitor fuel consumption and manage fuel-related records.
- Maintain vehicle logs, route plans, and transport-related documentation.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols for vehicles and passengers.
- Handle transport-related queries, complaints, or emergencies.
- Coordinate with management for transport budgeting and cost optimization.
- Ensure compliance with local transport regulations and licenses.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum Bachleor’s Degree
- 3–7 years of experience in transport management or fleet operations.
- Knowledge of traffic rules, vehicle maintenance, and safety standards.
- Good organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to plan and manage multiple routes and schedules efficiently.
- Proficiency in basic record-keeping and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing school, corporate, or institutional transport operations.
- Knowledge of vehicle tracking systems or transport management software.
Work Schedule
- Monday to Saturday (or as per organizational requirements)
- Flexibility for early mornings or late evenings, depending on routes.
