Executive Assistant to the Founder — Mittal Teas New Delhi (Kamla Nagar / Barakhamba Road) | Reports directly to Founder | Salary: Up to ₹35,000/month
About the role
This isn't a scheduling-and-errands role. Mittal Teas is a third-generation export house where the founder is juggling branding, sales, export development, new product development, and now a US entity launch — all at once. This EA is meant to function as a genuine extension of the founder's bandwidth: someone who can hold context across multiple live workstreams, anticipate what's needed before being asked, and take real ownership of follow-through — not just log tasks and wait for instructions.
Core responsibilities
Strategic & operational support
- Track every active workstream the founder is involved in (trade shows, new market launches, product development, hiring) and proactively flag what's falling behind or needs a decision
- Prepare the founder for meetings — research the other party, pull relevant background, draft briefing notes, not just put it on the calendar
- Sit in on key meetings, take structured notes, and independently drive follow-up items to closure (chasing people, not just listing "action items" in a doc)
- Maintain a live dashboard/tracker of open commitments, deadlines, and decisions pending from the founder or from others
Communication & external representation
- Draft substantive emails, proposals, and follow-ups on the founder's behalf — often needing judgment on tone and content, not templated replies
- Liaise directly with clients, vendors, and internal team leads when the founder is unavailable, using good judgment on what needs escalation vs. what can be resolved independently
- Manage and prioritize the founder's inbox — flagging what's urgent, drafting first-pass responses, filtering noise
Documentation & reporting
- Build and maintain MIS-style trackers in Excel — sales pipeline status, hiring pipeline, project timelines — that the founder can glance at and trust
- Prepare decks, one-pagers, and summary documents for internal reviews or external meetings
- Organize and maintain a clean, retrievable filing system across projects (contracts, compliance docs, correspondence)
Calendar, travel, and logistics (the baseline, not the job)
- Manage a complex, frequently-shifting calendar across time zones (especially relevant with the US entity)
- Handle domestic and international travel planning end-to-end
What we need this person to be able to do
- Hold multiple threads in their head simultaneously without dropping things
- Write clearly and persuasively in English — this person will represent the founder's voice in writing
- Use Excel confidently — formulas, sorting/filtering, clean formatting, basic pivot tables
- Exercise judgment about when to act independently vs. when to check in
- Handle confidential business, financial, and personal information with total discretion
Who this is NOT for
- Someone looking for a purely administrative, task-list role
- Someone who needs detailed instructions for every task
- Someone uncomfortable with ambiguity or a fast-changing environment
Requirements
- Graduate, 2–3+ years in an EA/PA/Chief-of-Staff-adjacent role, ideally supporting a founder or senior leader directly
- Demonstrated writing samples or a portfolio of past work preferred
- Prior exposure to a small business or founder-led environment strongly preferred over pure corporate EA experience
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Kamla Nagar, Delhi, Delhi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Work Location: In person
