Site Supervisor – Night Shift (Advertising Light Box Installation)
Location: Bangalore (Multiple Metro Stations)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Role Objective
To independently supervise installation activities at multiple metro stations, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and as per company quality standards while coordinating between the installation team, factory, client representatives, and management.
Key Responsibilities1. Site Planning & Preparation
- Review daily installation schedule before shift starts.
- Ensure manpower, tools, consumables, and materials are available before work begins.
- Verify site readiness before mobilizing the team.
- Coordinate with the factory regarding pending materials.
- Plan work to minimize delays and maximize productivity.
2. Installation Supervision
- Supervise installation teams during execution.
- Ensure installation follows approved drawings and company standards.
- Monitor workmanship and finish quality.
- Ensure no shortcuts are taken during installation.
- Resolve minor technical and site issues independently.
3. Safety Management
Safety is the highest priority.
Responsible for ensuring:
- PPE is worn by every worker.
- Proper barricading and warning signs are installed.
- Safe use of ladders, scaffolding and lifting equipment.
- Electrical safety during installation.
- Good housekeeping at work location.
- No unsafe practices are allowed.
Immediately report any accident, near miss or unsafe condition.
4. Material & Tool Management
- Verify material received at site.
- Ensure no work stops due to shortage of materials.
- Request additional materials in advance.
- Maintain records of material consumption.
- Prevent material wastage and theft.
- Ensure all tools are returned after shift.
5. Client & Authority Coordination
Coordinate with:
- Metro officials
- Station managers
- Safety officers
- Client representatives
- Security personnel
Obtain required permissions before starting work.
Maintain professional communication at all times.
6. Reporting
Maintain accurate records using company software.
Daily reporting includes:
- Work completed
- Pending work
- Manpower deployed
- Material consumed
- Material required
- Site issues
- Safety observations
- Delays with reasons
- Photographs before and after installation
Prepare Excel reports whenever required.
7. Problem Solving
Identify problems before they affect work.
Examples:
- Material shortages
- Missing hardware
- Drawing discrepancies
- Site access issues
- Electrical issues
- Manpower shortage
Recommend practical solutions instead of waiting for instructions.
8. Coordination
Coordinate continuously with:
- Factory
- Dispatch team
- Project Manager
- Installation contractor
- Client
- Procurement team
Ensure smooth communication between all stakeholders.
9. Quality Control
Inspect completed installations before handover.
Check:
- Alignment
- Level
- Fasteners
- Electrical connections
- Silicone finish
- ACP finish
- Branding
- Cleaning
Ensure defects are rectified immediately.
10. Daily Responsibilities
- Prepare next day's requirement before shift ends.
- Verify pending work.
- Ensure site is clean.
- Lock and secure materials.
- Submit daily report before leaving.
Required Skills
- Degree in Mechanical / Civil / Electrical Engineering preferred.
- 2–5 years experience in site execution.
- Experience in signage, interiors, façade, fabrication, aluminium, glazing or electrical installation preferred.
- Good knowledge of Excel.
- Comfortable using mobile applications for reporting.
- Good English and Kannada/Hindi communication.
- Able to read engineering drawings.
- Comfortable working night shifts.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working on Metro, Airport or Infrastructure projects.
- Basic AutoCAD understanding.
- Ability to prepare daily reports.
- Vehicle ownership preferred.
