About the Role
Rotocast Industries Ltd. is looking for an experienced Melter / Shift Melter to join our Foundry Production team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in furnace operations, molten metal handling, and maintaining production quality while ensuring adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor induction melting furnace as per production requirements.
- Prepare furnace charge using scrap, alloys, and raw materials.
- Maintain proper melting temperature and process parameters.
- Ensure molten metal quality as per specified grades and standards.
- Record production, furnace, and melting reports accurately.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments.
- Identify and report furnace or equipment issues promptly.
- Maintain housekeeping (5S) and follow all safety procedures.
- Achieve shift-wise production targets with minimum downtime.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with company safety policies.
Candidate Profile
- Qualification: ITI / Diploma / Graduate (Mechanical, Metallurgy, or relevant field preferred)
- Experience: 2–5 years in Foundry/Melting Operations
- Experience in operating Induction Furnaces is preferred.
- Knowledge of metal grades, melting practices, and quality control.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
