Role Overview
The KST Supervisor is responsible for managing the kitchen stewarding operations, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and proper maintenance of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas. The role involves supervising stewarding staff, maintaining sanitation standards, and supporting smooth kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
Stewarding Operations
- Supervise daily kitchen stewarding operations and ensure smooth functioning.
- Ensure proper cleaning and sanitization of kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, and cutlery.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, dishwashing sections, and garbage disposal areas.
Team Supervision
- Supervise and guide stewarding staff and helpers.
- Allocate duties and manage staff schedules.
- Ensure team follows hygiene, grooming, and safety standards.
Hygiene & Safety
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Monitor proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas.
Inventory & Equipment Management
- Maintain and monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and stewarding equipment.
- Ensure proper usage and maintenance of dishwashing machines and tools.
- Report any equipment breakdowns or maintenance requirements.
Waste Management
- Ensure proper segregation and disposal of kitchen waste as per standards.
- Maintain cleanliness in garbage areas and ensure timely disposal.
Coordination
- Coordinate with kitchen and F&B service teams for smooth operations.
- Support chefs by ensuring timely availability of clean utensils and equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management or relevant field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in kitchen stewarding, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Good knowledge of sanitation, hygiene, and cleaning procedures.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
