Centre Head – Skill Development Centre
Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month
Work Location: In person
Experience: 2–5 years, preferably with DDU-GKY / Skill Development experience
Education: Master’s Degree required
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Centre Head to manage the overall operations of a Skill Development Centre. The role involves leading the centre team, ensuring compliance, achieving training and placement targets, maintaining documentation and MIS, and coordinating with government departments, funding agencies, assessment bodies, employers, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Skill Development Centre.
- Supervise trainers, mobilizers, MIS, placement, hostel, and administrative teams.
- Monitor mobilization, admissions, batch formation, training, assessments, and certifications.
- Ensure compliance with government guidelines, project requirements, and quality standards.
- Achieve training, placement, and post-placement retention targets.
- Maintain accurate MIS, candidate records, reports, and documentation.
- Coordinate with government departments, assessment agencies, employers, and industry partners.
- Monitor biometric attendance, infrastructure, classrooms, and hostel facilities.
- Prepare for audits, inspections, and quality assessments.
- Conduct regular team meetings and monitor staff performance.
- Develop employer partnerships to support candidate placements.
- Handle candidate grievances and ensure a positive learning environment.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s Degree in Management, Social Work, Education, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in DDU-GKY or Skill Development projects.
- Experience managing government-funded or private skill development projects.
- Strong knowledge of centre operations, MIS, documentation, and compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with government audits and inspections.
- Knowledge of LMS, ERP, and biometric attendance systems.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to achieve training, placement, and retention KPIs.
- Willingness to travel when required.
