ENT Surgeon – Roles & Responsibilities
- Examine patients, establish diagnoses, and determine the need for medical or surgical intervention related to ear, nose, throat, head, and neck conditions.
- Review patients’ medical history, clinical findings, audiological tests, imaging studies, and diagnostic reports to formulate appropriate treatment plans.
- Evaluate and counsel patients and their families regarding ENT disorders, surgical procedures, expected outcomes, benefits, and associated risks.
- Perform ENT surgical procedures to diagnose, treat, and correct diseases, injuries, deformities, and functional disorders of the ear, nose, throat, and related structures.
- Perform endoscopic ENT procedures such as Diagnostic Nasal Endoscopy, Laryngoscopy, and other minimally invasive procedures for evaluation and treatment of ENT conditions.
- Perform routine and advanced ENT surgeries including tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, septoplasty, Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS), tympanoplasty, mastoid surgeries, and other head and neck procedures as per expertise.
- Follow established surgical protocols and maintain the highest standards of patient safety, infection control, and clinical care in operation theatres and procedure rooms.
- Prescribe and manage pre-operative and post-operative treatments, medications, rehabilitation, and follow-up care.
- Diagnose and manage emergency ENT conditions such as airway obstruction, epistaxis (nose bleeding), foreign bodies, trauma, and ENT infections.
- Coordinate with anesthetists, audiologists, speech therapists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to provide multidisciplinary patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records, surgical notes, procedure documentation, and discharge summaries.
- Conduct outpatient consultations, inpatient rounds, and provide timely care to admitted patients.
- Participate in preventive healthcare programs, hearing conservation initiatives, and patient education activities.
- Conduct follow-up consultations and monitor patient recovery and long-term outcomes after medical or surgical treatment.
- Participate in clinical audits, continuous medical education, quality improvement programs, and research activities to enhance ENT practices.
- Uphold patient dignity, confidentiality, and ethical medical practices in accordance with hospital policies and professional guidelines.
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
