Job Title: Certified Welder

Job Overview
A leading heavy manufacturing company is looking for a skilled and certified Welder to join its production team at its facility in Amta, Howrah. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in industrial welding processes, be safety-conscious, and be capable of producing high-quality welds as per engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding operations using SMAW (Arc), MIG, TIG, or FCAW processes as required.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Fabricate and assemble heavy steel structures and industrial components.
- Inspect welded joints to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
- Operate welding equipment safely and perform routine maintenance.
- Follow all workplace safety regulations and PPE requirements.
- Collaborate with supervisors and fabrication teams to meet production targets.
- Report equipment issues or material defects promptly.
Required Qualifications
- ITI in Welder Trade or equivalent vocational qualification.
- Valid Welding Certification from a recognized institute (preferred).
- Experience in heavy engineering, fabrication, or manufacturing industries.
- Ability to read technical drawings and welding procedures.
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and quality practices.
- Physically fit and willing to work in a manufacturing environment.
Experience
- 2–5 years of relevant welding experience in heavy manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, or industrial production.
- Freshers with a valid welding certification and exceptional practical skills may also be considered.
