A Production Manager for Dry Syrup oversees the entire manufacturing process, ensuring efficient production of antibiotic or liquid-reconstitutable powders while maintaining strict cGMP, ISO, and safety standards. Key duties include developing production schedules, managing RM/FG inventory, controlling powder blending/filling processes, and leading staff to meet quality/quantity targets.
Job Title: Production Manager – Dry Syrup (Pharmaceutical)
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Execution: Develop and implement daily/weekly production schedules based on sales orders to meet customer demands while optimizing resources and minimizing downtime.
- Operational Oversight: Manage dry powder blending, sifting, and filling line operations, ensuring adherence to Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Quality Compliance (cGMP): Ensure strict compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), ISO standards, and regulatory requirements (line clearance, in-process sampling).
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate production operators and staff, setting performance targets and managing shift schedules.
- Inventory & Resource Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, packaging materials, and active ingredients to avoid shortages or excess waste.
- Equipment Management: Coordinate maintenance (calibration of instruments, filling machine maintenance) to ensure proper functioning.
- Deviation & Quality Control: Address production bottlenecks, investigate deviations, and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) in coordination with the Quality Assurance department.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 10+ years in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 5 years specifically handling dry syrup/liquid-solid dosage forms.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of powder filling lines, sealing machinery, and blending equipment.
- Leadership: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems (like SAP) for tracking production, inventory, and documentation
Pay: ₹60,310.45 - ₹90,311.97 per month
