Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the Operation Theatre before every surgical procedure.
- Sterilize and arrange surgical instruments, drapes, and equipment.
- Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and OT nurses during surgeries.
- Operate and maintain OT equipment, including cautery machines, suction units, monitors, OT lights, and anesthesia machines.
- Ensure strict infection control and aseptic protocols are followed.
- Maintain inventory of surgical instruments, consumables, and OT supplies.
- Clean and disinfect the OT after every procedure.
- Report equipment malfunction or shortages to the concerned authority.
- Ensure proper biomedical waste segregation and disposal as per hospital policy.
- Maintain OT records and documentation as required.
- Assist in emergency surgeries and remain available for emergency OT calls when required.
Eligibility
- Diploma/Degree in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT) or equivalent.
- Freshers with relevant qualifications may also apply.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of OT instruments and surgical procedures.
- Understanding of sterilization and infection control practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Responsible, disciplined, and patient-focused approach.
