Job Purpose:
As a Draughtsman for a heavy equipment company, you will play a critical role in supporting the design, development, and maintenance of detailed technical drawings and plans. Your work will support the manufacturing of heavy Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchanger, Storage Tanks, Skid Mounted Packages & Piping Spools You will work closely with engineers and project managers to produce precise and accurate drawings for various stages of product development.
Key Responsibilities: Job Description / Responsibilities Having knowledge of Drafting & Drawing including Preparation of Bill of Material (BOM) for Pressure Vessels & Heat Exchangers. Should have knowledge of AutoCAD
1. Create Detailed Technical Drawings:
- Develop, modify, and maintain 2D technical drawings of Pressure vessel, Heat exchanger, Columns, Storage Tanks, Skid Mounted Packages, and Piping Spools. Using AutoCAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
- Ensure drawings meet required standards, including industry, company, and client specifications.
2. Technical Documentation:
- Prepare technical documentation, including bills of materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and part specifications for internal and external use.
- Ensure all documents are updated, organized, and stored properly for easy access.
3. Ensure Compliance with Standards:
- Ensure that designs comply with ASME standards and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure accuracy and adherence to quality standards in all drawings.
4. Project Support & Coordination:
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing deadlines and priorities.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure designs align with project goals and timelines.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
· Education:
- ITI In Draughtsman, Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certification in AutoCAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA) is an advantage.
· Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in drafting and designing heavy machinery or similar industrial equipment.
- Proven experience using CAD software to create and modify technical drawings.
· Technical Skills:
- Proficient in AutoCAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of engineering principles and industrial design standards for heavy equipment.
- Ability to understand complex engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
· Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all design and drafting work.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to address design and manufacturing challenges.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple projects efficiently.
· Other Requirements:
- Knowledge of materials used in heavy equipment manufacturing and their properties is a plus.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment construction and operations is an asset.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
