ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and execute Civil & Structural Design Engineering activities for Substation, Transmission, and Industrial Infrastructure Projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and engineering best practices.
Perform and review the analysis and design of civil and structural components, delivering technically sound, safe, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
Coordinate effectively with site teams, clients, consultants, vendors, and inter-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution and timely completion of deliverables.
Prepare, review, and approve design calculations, Design Basis Reports (DBRs), Bills of Quantities (BOQs), engineering specifications, and technical documentation in line with project requirements.
Lead the design and review of RCC structures, steel structures, equipment foundations, gantry structures, site grading, drainage systems, and associated civil works related to substations and transmission projects.
Review vendor drawings, material submittals, and technical proposals, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and constructability requirements.
Support pre-bid engineering activities by addressing technical queries, developing conceptual designs, validating quantities, and providing engineering inputs for proposals and tenders.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and designers, ensuring quality outputs, improved productivity, and adherence to project schedules.
Offer technical clarifications to site execution teams, resolve design-related challenges during construction, and support client approvals and engineering decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor engineering progress, identify risks or bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Ensure compliance with relevant national and international design codes, client specifications, and organizational quality standards.
Drive continuous improvement by promoting engineering best practices, knowledge sharing, and standardization within the team.
