Job Title -: Assistant Merchandiser – Furniture Manufacturing
About the Role We're looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Merchandiser to support our product development and sales operations. You'll work closely with the merchandising and design teams to ensure our furniture collections are market-ready, competitively positioned, and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and managing product assortments across furniture categories
- Coordinate with suppliers and production teams on sampling, pricing, and delivery timelines
- Maintain product data, catalogues, and range sheets with accuracy
- Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends and pricing benchmarks
- Support buyer meetings with presentations, samples, and product documentation
- Track order status and follow up on pending deliverables with vendors
- Liaise between design, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth product flow
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Merchandising, or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience in merchandising, sourcing, or product coordination (furniture or home décor preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Excel and product management tools
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Good to Have
- Familiarity with furniture materials, construction, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems
