1. Clinical Responsibilities
· Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with surgical conditions.
· Perform and assist in surgical procedures as per approved clinical privileges.
· Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care.
· Conduct daily ward rounds and monitor patient progress.
· Attend emergency and trauma cases promptly and provide appropriate management.
· Stabilize critically ill patients and coordinate timely interventions.
2. Patient Care & Documentation
· Maintain accurate patient records, case sheets, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
· Keep updated patient log books and procedure records.
· Review investigations and modify treatment plans in consultation with senior consultants.
· Communicate patient status, treatment plans, and expected recovery to patients and their attendants.
· Ensure timely referrals and follow-up care when required.
3. Operation Theatre Responsibilities
· Verify surgical and anesthetic consent before procedures.
· Ensure all surgical safety checklists and required consents are completed before procedures.
· Prepare patients for surgery and coordinate with the OT team.
· Assist consultants during elective and emergency surgeries.
· Ensure proper documentation of surgical procedures and outcomes.
4. Quality & Safety
· Adhere to hospital policies, clinical protocols, and infection control practices.
· Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives & NABH activities.
5. Academic Activities
· Participate in CMEs, seminars, and academic presentations.
· Guide junior residents, interns, and medical students in clinical practice.
· Participate in formal training of juniors and paramedical staff in both skills and theory related to surgery,
· Actively participate in research activities laid out by the department; taking initiative in research and audit is highly recommended.
6. Professional Conduct
· Maintain patient confidentiality and ethical medical practice.
· Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and effective communication.
· Comply with duty rosters, on-call schedules, and emergency responsibilities.
· Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department or hospital management.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
