Role Purpose
To assess, design, and implement physiotherapy interventions that promote residents' mobility, strength, functional independence, pain management, fall prevention, and recovery post-hospitalization, while contributing to holistic resident well-being and care planning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assessment & Care Planning
- Conduct baseline and periodic functional assessments (ROM, balance, gait, strength, ADLs).
- Identify residents needing rehabilitative, preventive, or palliative physiotherapy.
- Contribute to care plan tiering and updates with mobility/functioning inputs.
2. Individual & Group Therapy
- Design and execute resident-specific physiotherapy programs: strengthening, gait training, balance rehab, pain management.
- Conduct small group mobility exercises or fall prevention programs within pods.
- Adapt protocols for residents with dementia, post-stroke conditions, orthopaedic limitations, or frailty.
3. Documentation & Monitoring
- Maintain individual therapy records, including attendance, goals, milestones, and progress.
- Update Nurse manager and DMO on changes in resident physical functioning.
- Flag decline in independence or increased support needs for pod-level planning.
4. Preventive Care & Positioning
- Educate Nurses and Caretakers on safe transfer techniques, fall precautions, and pressure sore prevention.
- Recommend and monitor use of aids: walkers, wheelchairs, splints, cushions, etc.
- Participate in incident reviews involving falls or mobility-related injuries.
5. Engagement & Recovery Integration
- Support recovery for post-hospitalization residents: stroke, surgery, fractures, etc.
- Coordinate with family and external therapists (if applicable) to align rehab goals.
- Collaborate with the Wellness Executive to integrate physical activity into daily routines.

Criteria Details
Education
Bachelor's or Master's in Physiotherapy from recognized institution
Experience
2–5 years, preferably in geriatric, rehab, or long-term care settings
Knowledge
Fall risk management, elderly rehab techniques
Skills
Assessment, care planning, manual therapy, communication, documentation
Tools Familiarity
Exercise bands, walkers, canes, balance boards, EMR documentation tools
Behavioural Attributes
Motivational, patient, observant, collaborative, physically active
Languages
Proficiency in English and local language
Work Schedule
Full-time; day shift with flexibility for inhouse sessions or home therapy integration when needed
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
