ABOUT HIQ WEDDINGS
HiQ Weddings is a premium wedding photography and cinematography company with 1,000+ weddings captured. We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Photo Editor to join our post-production team and transform professionally captured images into polished, consistent and visually compelling photographs that reflect the HiQ Weddings aesthetic.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Edit and process large volumes of wedding photographs while maintaining consistent quality and style.
- Perform colour correction, exposure correction, white balance and tonal adjustments.
- Apply professional colour grading and creative edits according to the HiQ Weddings visual style.
- Select and edit the strongest images from wedding shoots while maintaining consistency across the complete set.
- Perform professional skin retouching and portrait enhancements while keeping images natural and authentic.
- Clean up distractions, blemishes and minor imperfections where required.
- Ensure consistency in skin tones, colours, exposure and overall look across different lighting conditions and locations.
- Crop, straighten and compose images appropriately for albums, galleries and social media.
- Prepare photographs for different deliverables, including wedding albums, online galleries, social media and client presentations.
- Organise and manage image files, folders and editing workflows efficiently.
- Work closely with photographers and senior editors to understand the creative direction and deliverables.
- Implement feedback and revisions accurately while meeting deadlines.
- Ensure all final images meet HiQ Weddings' premium quality and aesthetic standards.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 1–3 years of experience in professional photo editing or post-production.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop.
- Good understanding of colour correction, colour grading, skin tones, retouching and image composition.
- Strong eye for detail and consistency.
- Ability to maintain a cohesive visual style across hundreds of images.
- Understanding of professional photography workflows and RAW image processing.
- Ability to work efficiently with large volumes of photographs and meet production deadlines.
- Strong sense of aesthetics with an appreciation for premium wedding and editorial photography.
- Ability to take creative direction and incorporate feedback.
- Organised, responsible and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- A passion for photography, visual storytelling and creative post-production.
- Ability to shoot photographs an added advantage.
