Job Summary
OJD Education is looking for a dedicated, confident, and result-oriented Counsellor with a minimum of 1 year of experience in student counselling, admissions, telecalling, customer support, or educational sales. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and convincing skills, be able to guide prospective students regarding courses and career opportunities, and convert inquiries into admissions while maintaining a professional and student-centric approach.
Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Counselling & Admissions
- Counsel students and parents regarding available courses, career opportunities, and admission procedures.
- Understand students' educational goals and recommend suitable courses.
- Explain course curriculum, fee structure, batch timings, certifications, and other relevant details.
- Guide prospective students throughout the complete admission process.
- Convert inquiries into successful admissions by providing accurate information and timely follow-ups.
Lead Management
- Handle inbound and outbound calls professionally.
- Follow up with prospective students through calls, WhatsApp, emails, and other communication channels.
- Respond promptly to inquiries received through phone calls, WhatsApp, email, website, and social media platforms.
- Maintain regular communication with prospective students until the admission process is completed.
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of inquiries, follow-ups, counselling sessions, and admissions.
- Update CRM, Excel sheets, or admission records regularly.
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly counselling reports to the reporting authority.
- Ensure confidentiality of student information and admission records.
Coordination
- Coordinate with the Admissions, Academic, Marketing, and Administration teams for smooth admission processing.
- Assist students with documentation and admission formalities.
- Support the management during admission campaigns, seminars, workshops, and promotional events.
Target Achievement
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly counselling and admission targets.
- Maintain high conversion rates through effective counselling and follow-up.
- Work towards improving student satisfaction and admission quality.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong counselling, convincing, and negotiation abilities.
- Good command of Hindi and basic spoken English.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Email, Internet, Google Workspace).
- Good follow-up, time management, and organizational skills.
- Positive attitude with a student-focused approach.
- Ability to work under targets and deadlines.
- Professional appearance and behaviour.
Eligibility
- Graduate in any discipline (Preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Counselling, Academic Counselling, Telecalling, Customer Support, Education Sales, or Business Development.
- Experience in an educational institute or training organization will be preferred.
- Candidate should be a resident of Lucknow.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.
