About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated PHP Full Stack Developer to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing full-stack web applications, working across both front-end and back-end technologies.
The candidate should have strong hands-on experience with PHP, Laravel/CodeIgniter, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, REST APIs, and modern web development practices. WordPress development experience will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop clean, secure, scalable, and reusable PHP-based applications.
- Build and maintain server-side applications using Laravel, CodeIgniter, or similar PHP frameworks.
- Develop responsive and interactive web interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
- Work with modern front-end technologies such as React.js or Vue.js where required.
- Design database schemas and write optimized queries using MySQL/PostgreSQL.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party APIs, including payment gateways, authentication, and other external services.
- Implement secure authentication, authorization, and application security best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, project managers, and other developers to convert business requirements into technical solutions.
- Use Git/GitHub/Bitbucket for version control and collaborative development.
- Participate in application deployment, maintenance, and CI/CD processes.
- Write and maintain unit tests to ensure application stability and reliability.
- Monitor and improve application performance, page speed, and overall system health.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–5 years of professional experience in PHP Full Stack Development.
- Strong proficiency in PHP and hands-on experience with Laravel and/or CodeIgniter.
- Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
- Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL and database optimization.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and API integrations.
- Good knowledge of Git and version control systems.
- Experience working with Linux environments and command-line tools.
- Understanding of web application security and common vulnerabilities.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
WordPress — Added Advantage
- Hands-on experience with WordPress development and customization.
- Experience with WordPress themes, plugins, customizations, and integrations.
- Knowledge of WooCommerce will be an added advantage.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize WordPress websites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with React.js or Vue.js.
- Familiarity with Docker and AWS.
- Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Experience with PHPUnit or other testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred.
