We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter with hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of pumps, electric motors, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment. The fitter will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safe operation of critical mechanical systems.
- Perform installation, alignment, dismantling, and assembly of pumps, motors, gearboxes, and associated equipment.
- Conduct preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Carry out shaft alignment (dial/laser) and balancing of rotating equipment.
- Replace and service bearings, seals, couplings, and lubrication systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults, vibrations, and abnormal noises.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spares usage, and equipment history.
- Collaborate with electrical, instrumentation, and operations teams for smooth equipment performance.
Requirements
- Education: ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Fitting, Maintenance, or equivalent trade qualification.
- Experience: Minimum two of relevant experience in pump, motor, and gearbox maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of rotating equipment mechanics, alignment techniques, and troubleshooting methods.
