Design Engineer – Solar
Responsibilities:
- Preparation, optimization and review of shadow analysis, capacity estimations, design,
layout, and drawings,
- Conduct engineering site audits to collect structural, electrical, and related site information
for use in the design of residential or commercial solar power systems.
- Collect data about project sites Design or coordinate design of photovoltaic (PV) systems,
including system components, for residential and commercial buildings.
- Assist the sales team in understanding the engineering impacts of site specific or customer
specific requirements, preparing cost estimates and technical proposals.
- Assist project managers and construction managers with the successful completion of
projects and participate in the resolution of field related issues that require engineering
input
- Undertake Due Diligence analysis of PV Plants
- Preparation of annual and long-term solar energy assessments, using PVsyst and other
modelling tools. Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for analysing statistical data
- Should be capable to prepare Plant BoM and TL, Substation BoM
- Should be capable of doing string sizing, cable sizing, Transformer, HT Panel selection, UPS
& Battery sizing, Lightning & Earthing sizing
- Should be familiar with IS, IEC, NEC codes
- Development of technical specifications and scope of work documentation for solar PV
projects.
- Review specifications and recommend engineering or manufacturing changes to achieve
solar design objectives.
- Experience on Battery technologies will be an added advantage
- Develop design specifications and functional requirements for residential, commercial, or
industrial solar energy systems or components.
- Develop standard operation procedures and quality or safety standards for solar installation
work. Create checklists for review or inspection of completed solar installation projects.
Inspect finished products to locate flaws.
- Test or evaluate photovoltaic (PV) cells or modules. Perform cost reduction analyses for solar
systems. Analyze costs and benefits of proposed designs or projects.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum experience:
o 3-5 years of Commercial/Utility PV system design
o AC LT / HT systems design design experience upto 33 KV is a required prerequisite.
o MW Scale experience is required, kW scale experience is Plus
- Software Proficiency- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, PVSyst, MS Office
- Up to date with current technology trends in PV industry
- Solar EPC (Ground-Mounted Projects)
- Should possess good knowledge of international codes & standards
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Motivated to learn new skill sets and expand knowledge base
- Willingness to travel
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per month
