Job Summary
The Production Operations Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, cost efficiency, and productivity. The role involves leading production teams, optimizing processes, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management
- Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within quality and cost parameters.
- Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions when required.
- Minimize downtime and maximize equipment utilization.
- Coordinate with maintenance to ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
Operations Management
- Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor capacity utilization and recommend process improvements.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
- Work closely with the Quality team to reduce defects and improve product consistency.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop production supervisors and operators.
- Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and toolbox meetings.
- Promote a zero-accident safety culture.
Inventory & Resource Management
- Coordinate with procurement and stores for timely availability of raw materials.
- Control production costs through efficient resource utilization.
- Monitor inventory levels and minimize material wastage.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with Planning, Procurement, Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, and Sales teams.
- Support new product development and production trials.
- Resolve production-related customer issues promptly.
Reporting & MIS
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Analyze production KPIs and recommend improvements.
- Present operational performance to senior management.
Pay: From ₹240,000.00 per year
