About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically strong Pre-Sales Manager to lead solution consulting, proposal management, customer engagement, and technical sales support activities. The candidate will work closely with sales, delivery, and technical teams to design customer-centric solutions and drive successful deal closures.
The ideal candidate should possess strong business acumen, excellent presentation skills, and hands-on experience in enterprise solutioning, RFP management, client interactions, and solution demonstrations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Sales & Business Support
Partner with sales teams to identify customer needs and business opportunities.
Support revenue generation through effective solution positioning and technical consulting.
Participate in customer meetings, discovery sessions, and requirement gathering discussions.
Assist in qualifying opportunities and identifying technical fitment.
Drive technical discussions during the sales lifecycle.
Solution Design & Consulting
Design scalable and cost-effective solutions based on customer requirements.
Prepare solution architecture, BOM/BOQ, SOW, and technical proposals.
Recommend suitable products, services, and deployment approaches.
Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for technical validation and pricing support.
Ensure proposed solutions align with organizational capabilities and delivery standards.
Proposal & Bid Management
Handle RFP/RFI/RFQ responses within defined timelines.
Prepare detailed proposals, presentations, compliance matrices, and estimations.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness of all submissions.
Maintain reusable proposal repositories and standard templates.
Client Engagement & Demonstrations
Deliver impactful presentations, product demos, workshops, and POCs.
Address technical queries and provide consultative recommendations.
Build long-term relationships with enterprise customers and partners.
Support customer onboarding and transition to delivery teams post-sales.
Experience working with partner teams, OEMs, distributors, and technology alliances for solutioning, proposal support, pricing coordination, and joint customer engagements is mandatory.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with sales, delivery, product, and engineering teams.
Provide technical guidance to junior pre-sales executives.
Participate in internal knowledge-sharing and capability-building sessions.
Support training initiatives for sales teams on products and solutions.
This role involved travel whenever required for client meetings, presentations, workshops, and business discussions.
Market Intelligence
Monitor industry trends, customer requirements, and competitor offerings.
Identify new technologies and business opportunities.
Share market insights and improvement recommendations with leadership.
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of IT Infrastructure, Cloud, Cybersecurity, SaaS, Networking, or relevant technologies.
Knowledge of enterprise architecture and solution design.
Experience with proposal writing, estimation, and solution documentation.
Understanding of RFP/RFI/RFQ processes.

Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
MBA (Sales/Marketing/Operations) is preferred.
