We are looking for an experienced Assistant Project Manager with 10+ years of hands-on experience in the precast and construction industry, capable of coordinating design, production, logistics, erection, and site execution activities while supporting the Project Manager in delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing precast construction projects from project award through completion and handover.
- Manage day-to-day coordination between design, production, quality, logistics, erection, procurement, subcontractors, and site teams.
- Review project scope, drawings, specifications, production schedules, erection sequences, and project requirements.
- Develop and monitor detailed project schedules covering design, shop drawings, material procurement, production, delivery, erection, and handover.
- Coordinate with engineering and design teams to ensure timely approval of shop drawings, production drawings, calculations, and technical submissions.
- Monitor precast production progress and coordinate with the factory to ensure elements are manufactured according to project specifications and required delivery dates.
- Coordinate transportation and delivery schedules to ensure precast elements reach the project site on time and in the correct sequence.
- Coordinate site erection activities, including crane planning, lifting sequences, manpower, equipment, access, and daily installation requirements.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify delays, constraints, and potential risks at an early stage.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve project-related issues.
- Attend project coordination meetings and prepare progress reports, MOMs, action trackers, and management updates.
- Monitor project costs, material requirements, manpower, equipment utilization, subcontractor activities, and resource allocation.
- Assist in preparing project budgets, cost estimates, variations, claims, and commercial documentation.
- Ensure proper coordination between production and site erection teams to minimize delays, rework, damage, and material wastage.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure precast elements comply with approved drawings, specifications, inspection requirements, and quality standards.
- Monitor NCRs, site issues, defects, repairs, and corrective actions and ensure timely closure.
- Ensure project activities comply with approved method statements, risk assessments, safety requirements, and company procedures.
- Maintain complete project documentation, including drawings, approvals, inspection records, delivery records, progress reports, correspondence, and handover documents.
- Track project milestones and provide regular updates to senior management regarding progress, risks, delays, and required corrective actions.
- Support the Project Manager in managing variations, extensions of time, client requirements, and project-related contractual matters.
- Coordinate final inspections, snagging, rectification, testing where applicable, documentation, and project handover.
- Lead and motivate project coordination teams and ensure effective communication between office, factory, logistics, and site operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce project costs, minimize wastage, and improve overall project performance.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Project Manager or senior management.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project management/project coordination within the precast concrete, precast construction, or related construction industry.
- Strong understanding of precast production, logistics, transportation, site erection, and project execution.
- Proven experience managing multiple project activities and coordinating with factory and site teams.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, resource management, and progress monitoring.
- Ability to read and understand structural, architectural, shop, and precast erection drawings.
- Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
