Role Overview
We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Labour Laws Consultant to ensure organizational compliance with applicable labour regulations. The role involves advising management, handling statutory matters, and supporting HR/legal teams on labour-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on labour laws, industrial relations, and statutory compliance
- Ensure compliance with central and state labour laws (e.g., Shops & Establishment Act, EPF, ESI, Minimum Wages, Bonus Act, etc.)
- Conduct compliance audits and risk assessments
- Draft, review, and update HR policies in line with labour regulations
- Liaise with government authorities, inspectors, and legal bodies
- Handle labour disputes, grievances, and disciplinary matters
- Support contract labour compliance and vendor audits
- Maintain statutory registers, records, and filings
- Represent the organization in labour courts or tribunals (if required)
- Train HR and management teams on labour law updates and best practices

Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) / Master’s in Labour Laws / HR / Industrial Relations
- Additional certifications in labour law compliance (preferred)
Experience
- Proven experience in labour law consulting, legal advisory, or HR compliance
- Experience dealing with regulatory authorities and inspections is a plus
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in manufacturing / corporate / consulting environment
- Familiarity with labour law digitization and compliance tools
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients/projects
