Job Title: VMC Machine Operator cum Setter
Key Responsibilities:
1. Machine Setup (Setter role)
Set up VMC machines based on job orders and technical drawings
Install and align tools, fixtures, and workpieces
Load CNC programs into the machine
Set tool offsets, work offsets, and coordinate systems
Perform trial runs and first-piece inspection before production
2. Machine Operation (Operator role)
Operate VMC machines during production runs
Monitor machining process for accuracy and quality
Make minor adjustments in offsets if required
Ensure smooth and continuous production
3. Quality Control
Inspect finished components using measuring instruments (Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, etc.)
Ensure parts meet dimensional and tolerance requirements
Report any deviations or machining issues
4. Maintenance & Safety
Perform basic machine maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, tool care)
Follow safety procedures and maintain 5S workplace standards
Report machine faults or breakdowns to maintenance team
Skills Required:
Knowledge of CNC/VMC operations (Fanuc, Siemens, or similar controls)
Ability to read engineering drawings
Understanding of G-code and M-code (basic to intermediate)
Tool setting and offset adjustment skills
Familiarity with measuring instruments
Attention to detail and quality focus
Qualification:
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or related field (preferred)
CNC/VMC training certificate (added advantage)
Experience: Min- 5 to 10 Yrs
Salary; 25000 to 35000 (Based on Skill)
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
