Job Description: Sales Manager (Retail & C&I)

Role Purpose -
To aggressively scale Avaada Electro’s presence in the Retail and C&I solar markets across the assigned region. This role focuses on driving high-volume module sales through a robust network of retail dealers and securing solar projects with Industrial & Commercial clients in region's thriving manufacturing hubs.
Key Responsibilities -
1. Retail & C&I Revenue Delivery
- Achieve monthly and quarterly MW and revenue targets specifically for the Retail and C&I segments.
- Drive primary sales through distributors and secondary sales through a network of local rooftop installers and retailers.
- Execute a territory-specific sales plan targeting the SME/MSME clusters and industrial estates (e.g., GIDC) in and around assigned region.
2. Retail Channel & Dealer Management
- Appoint and activate a high-performing network of Solar Dealers, Electrical Retailers, and System Integrators.
- Ensure stock availability and liquidation at the dealer level to maintain a healthy supply chain.
- Conduct localized "Naka Meets," dealer training, and roadshows to build brand recall among local contractors.
3. C&I Account Acquisition
- Directly engage with Commercial and Industrial (C&I) clients for rooftop and open-access solar solutions.
- Build deep relationships with local EPC contractors who specialize in industrial rooftop projects.
- Assist C&I clients with technical coordination, product selection, and documentation for state-level solar subsidies or incentives.
4. Market Intelligence & Brand Positioning
- Monitor competitor pricing and aggressive channel schemes specifically within the Gujarat retail market.
- Represent Avaada Electro in local industrial associations and solar forums in Region.
- Support local marketing campaigns to position Avaada as the leading domestic module brand for assigned area's retail consumers.
5. Operations & Reporting
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation in CRM to payment collection and DSO management.
- Provide weekly forecasts based on the localized demand of the retail belt.
Candidate Profile :
- Education: B.Tech/Diploma, MBA in Marketing is a plus.
- Experience: 3–10 years in Solar sales or Electrical products, with a heavy focus on Retail Distribution or C&I sales.
- Regional Expertise: Deep knowledge of the Ahmedabad/Gujarat solar market, including local EPC players and retail networks.
- Competencies: Strong negotiation skills, commercial acumen (margins/credit terms), and a willingness for extensive travel across the assigned districts.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :
- Retail Sales Volume: MW achieved through the dealer network.
- Channel Expansion: Number of new active dealers/retailers onboarded per quarter.
- C&I Conversion: Number of industrial projects secured or supplied.
- Collection Efficiency: Timely payment realization from channel partners.
