Unlike desk-bound banking roles, this is a proactive, door-to-door, and B2B/B2C relationship management role designed to mobilize liquid capital for the institution.
Key Responsibilities & Field Work
Field Canvassing & Customer Visits
Conduct scheduled and door-to-door field visits to retail individuals, High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs), business owners, local traders, and corporate offices.
Execute localized canvassing drives in targeted commercial hubs, residential areas, and industrial belts to build a local deposit pipeline.
Deposit Product Pitching
Present and explain various deposit schemes (Fixed Deposits, Term Deposits, Senior Citizen Schemes, Wealth Management Accounts) emphasizing interest yields, safety, liquidity, and tax benefits.
Provide comparative rate benefits against market competitors to convince prospects to move surplus funds.
On-Site Documentation & Account Opening
Collect completed application forms, Know Your Customer (KYC) documents, tax records, and Cheques/DDs directly from the customer’s residence or workplace.
Ensure full compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and verification norms before submission to the home branch.
Relationship Building & Deposit Renewal
Maintain regular contact with deposit holders to secure renewals upon maturity.
Cross-sell other institutional products (insurance, mutual funds, gold loans, or business loans) during routine deposit collection visits.
Daily Field Tracking & Reporting
Record daily call sheets, lead statuses, customer feedback, and visit outcomes in CRM software or daily activity registers.
Coordinate with branch managers to meet monthly and quarterly deposit mobilization targets.
