Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and responsible Pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team in Puducherry. The candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, ensuring medication safety, maintaining pharmacy records, and supporting healthcare professionals in delivering quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately as per doctor’s prescription
- Verify prescriptions for dosage, drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications
- Maintain proper storage and handling of medicines as per pharmacy standards
- Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, and inventory management
- Counsel patients regarding medication usage, dosage, and side effects
- Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff for medication-related queries
- Maintain billing records and pharmacy documentation
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and pharmacy regulations
- Handle controlled drugs and maintain required registers
- Support inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations
Qualification Requirements
- D.Pharm / B.Pharm mandatory
- Registered Pharmacist certification required
- Valid Pondicherry (Puducherry) Pharmacy Council License is mandatory
- 0–3 years of experience in hospital or retail pharmacy preferred
- Freshers with valid registration may also apply
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of medicines and dispensing practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer knowledge and billing software handling
- Ability to work in rotational shifts
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in hospital pharmacy setup preferred
- Knowledge of NABH standards is an added advantage
- Immediate joiners preferred

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
