About the Role
We are looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented Design Engineer – Renewable Energy to support electrical design and engineering activities for ground-mounted Solar PV projects.
The candidate will be responsible for developing accurate, cost-effective, standards-compliant, and execution-friendly electrical designs while supporting project execution and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical layouts, cable schedules, equipment layouts, and interconnection drawings for Solar PV projects.
- Perform DC/AC system design, cable sizing, voltage-drop calculations, and short-circuit calculations.
- Prepare and review BOQ/BOM, technical specifications, datasheets, and design calculations.
- Design and review 11 kV / 33 kV / 66 kV electrical systems and substations.
- Support PVsyst simulations, energy yield analysis, and plant design optimization.
- Prepare electrical designs for earthing, lightning protection, auxiliary power systems, and related systems.
- Review vendor drawings, technical documents, equipment specifications, and engineering deliverables.
- Coordinate with Civil, Procurement, Project Execution, Vendors, Consultants, and Clients.
- Provide technical support to site teams and resolve design-related issues during project execution.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable IS/IEC standards, CEA regulations, and client specifications.
- Participate in site visits, installation, testing, and commissioning activities whenever required.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Solar PV electrical design and EPC execution.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.
- Working knowledge of PVsyst.
- Good understanding of HT/LT systems, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, earthing, and cable sizing.
- Knowledge of 11 kV / 33 kV / 66 kV systems and grid connectivity.
- Strong analytical, documentation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under project deadlines.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in Solar EPC, Renewable Energy, Electrical Design, Substation, or Power Projects.
- Experience with utility-scale / ground-mounted solar projects will be preferred.
- Hands-on experience in electrical design for solar projects will be an added advantage.

Candidate Profile
Candidates with 2–5 years of relevant experience in Solar EPC, Solar Electrical Design, Substation Design, or Power Projects, particularly those with exposure to ground-mounted solar projects, will be preferred.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Ahmedabad, Gujarat (Ahmedabad): Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
