Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced GIS Developer with strong expertise in Angular and modern web GIS technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing geospatial web applications, integrating GIS services, and building interactive mapping solutions using Angular. The candidate should possess strong frontend development skills along with a solid understanding of GIS concepts, spatial data, and map services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain GIS-based web applications using Angular.
- Build responsive and interactive map-based user interfaces with a focus on performance and usability.
- Integrate GIS services such as map services, feature services, geocoding, routing, and spatial analysis into web applications.
- Consume REST APIs and GIS web services to display and manipulate spatial data.
- Develop reusable Angular components, modules, and services following best practices.
- Work with spatial databases and geospatial datasets to support business requirements.
- Implement map editing, querying, filtering, spatial search, and visualization functionalities.
- Optimize application performance for rendering large geospatial datasets.
- Collaborate with GIS analysts, business users, backend developers, and UI/UX teams to deliver scalable GIS solutions.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application and GIS integration issues.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and development best practices.
- Support application deployment, maintenance, and production issue resolution.
Required Technical Skills
Frontend Development
- Strong experience with Angular (v19 or above).
- Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3/SCSS.
- Experience with RxJS, Angular Material, and responsive web design.
- Strong understanding of component-based architecture and state management.
GIS Technologies
- Hands-on experience with GIS web application development.
- Experience with GIS platforms such as ArcGIS API for JavaScript, OpenLayers, Leaflet, or Mapbox GL JS.
- Knowledge of spatial data formats including GeoJSON, Shapefile, KML, WMS, WFS, and WMTS.
- Experience consuming GIS REST APIs and map services.
- Understanding of coordinate systems, projections, spatial indexing, and geospatial analysis.
Backend & Database
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs.
- Strong SQL skills with experience in PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server Spatial, Oracle Spatial, or similar spatial databases.
- Familiarity with Node.js, .NET, Java, or Python-based backend services is an advantage.
Cloud & DevOps
- Experience with Git-based version control.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
Good to Have
- Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, or Portal for ArcGIS.
- Knowledge of WebGL-based mapping frameworks.
- Experience with real-time GIS data integration and visualization.
- Familiarity with geoprocessing services and spatial analytics.
- Experience working with satellite imagery, raster datasets, or LiDAR data.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of authentication mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, SAML, or JWT.
Pay: ₹90,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per month
