DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Participates in the formulation of the Business Development Budget in determining projected revenues and expenses, operating equipment and travel requirements in line with the compilation of the Annual Business Plan.
· Prepares and participates in the Monthly Review of business pipeline and new ventures.
· Provides the Materials department with detailed Product and Service Specifications for new business assets or agreements.
· Participates in the exercise on defining BSC (Balanced Score Card) initiatives and the monthly review process for his/her department.
· Contributes in Developing and implementing Business Development service standards regarding the quality of proposals and partnership execution.
· Develops, interprets and implements the company's policies, operating procedures, and training programs, manuals, directives, work schedules, rules and regulations for the Business Development staff.
· Develops and monitors strategies, procedures, and policies for enhancing market penetration and increasing the deal pipeline.
· Designs, reviews and updates the SOPs on an as per need basis related to due diligence and deal structuring.
· Plans for future staffing needs.
OPERATIONAL
· Makes key decisions regarding day-to-day business development operational issues.
· Removes obstacles to success and ensures adequate resources are available to achieve business results for the Business Development department.
· Periodic travel to all potential development sites or partner offices for review and negotiation.
· Agenda to be shared before travel to the respective location.
· Travel plan to be shared well in advance for approval and meeting points to be circulated.
· Reviews financial reports and market intelligence for the department to enhance opportunities and manage costs.
· Identifies opportunities to increase profits and create value by encouraging innovation in business models and driving necessary change.
· Ensures contracts negotiated with developers, service providers, and strategic partners are beneficial for the department and the company.
· Serves as the one-point-contact for all activities and communication related to securing new business.
· Maintains strict vigilance over established corporate policies and takes immediate corrective measures whenever deviations are noticed in deal compliance.
· Reviews Customer Feedback System (CFS) feedback and Mystery Audit findings for identifying new market needs or service gaps.
· Reviews findings from various audits and initiates corrective/preventive actions related to compliance in new ventures.
· Reviews the Daily Log Book for market insights and competitive activity.
· Develops and maintains a robust pipeline of potential business opportunities (e.g., acquisitions, management contracts, joint ventures).
· Conducts initial market sizing and feasibility studies for new geographic areas or product lines.
· Prepares detailed business cases and financial models to support new development proposals.
· Manages and coordinates the full due diligence process for identified targets.
· Oversees the creation and refinement of pitch documents and corporate presentations for prospective partners.
· Leads or co-leads key negotiations for new contracts and agreements.
· Works closely with legal counsel to draft and execute Letters of Intent (LOIs) and Definitive Agreements.
· Manages the transition and handover of secured business to the relevant operations team.
· Maintains an up-to-date database of potential partners, consultants, and developers.
· Monitors the performance of existing business partnerships and joint ventures.
· Stays informed of the latest market trends, economic indicators, and competitor activities relevant to the industry.
· Manages external consultants and brokers involved in deal sourcing and execution.
· Develops and maintains strong relationships with key decision-makers in target companies and markets.
· Establishes, documents, test, and communicates appropriate emergency procedures for business continuity planning for new ventures.
· Ensures that all sensitive documents, data saves, and back-ups related to confidential deals are completed, documented, and stored per specifications.
· Controls all user IDs and passwords for sensitive market intelligence platforms.
· Develops and control the Business Development departmental budget.
Pay: ₹1,300,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
