Experience: 8–12+ years in EV/Automobile/2-Wheeler manufacturing with plant leadership experience
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Plant Production Head to lead complete manufacturing operations for electric mobility products. The role is responsible for end-to-end plant performance including production planning, motor, battery and vehicle assembly, quality, maintenance, engineering coordination, inventory, safety, cost optimization and continuous improvement while ensuring delivery, quality and productivity targets.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
· Lead end-to-end plant production operations and achieve production, quality, cost and delivery targets.
· Prepare production plans and ensure smooth execution across motor, battery, frame and vehicle assembly lines.
· Coordinate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Stores and PPC for material availability.
· Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Monitor KPIs including OEE, productivity, rejection, rework, downtime and on-time delivery.
· Ensure compliance with quality systems, process audits and regulatory standards.
· Partner with R&D and Engineering for new product introduction and design for manufacturability.
· Lead maintenance planning to maximize equipment uptime.
· Manage manpower planning, training, performance management and employee engagement.
· Ensure statutory, EHS and safety compliance and promote a zero-accident culture.
· Optimize inventory, production cost and resource utilization.
· Prepare MIS reports and present plant performance to management.
· Drive automation, digitalization and data-driven process improvements.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· 12–15+ years in production and plant operations, preferably in Electric Vehicles/Automobile/2-Wheeler industry.
· Strong knowledge of production planning, assembly processes, quality systems and manufacturing excellence.
· Leadership and people management skills.
· Project management and problem-solving capability.
· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM and 5S.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
· Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
