Overview: Lead and manage our financial operations, provide strategic support to sustainable energy initiatives, and ensure the overall financial strength of the organization.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Project Budgeting, Forecasting & EPC Compliance:
o Develop, manage, and monitor detailed budgets for renewable energy projects in
accordance with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) norms and
contractual obligations.
o Lead the forecasting of future budget allocations for the company by leveraging
historical data, market trends, and strategic business objectives to ensure optimal
resource allocation and robust financial planning.
o Prepare and analyse financial models to evaluate project feasibility, profitability, and
risk, including ROI and payback periods.
o Ensure all budgeting and forecasting processes adhere to regulatory, contractual, and
internal standards, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing financial risk.
- Cash Flow & Payment Management:
o Oversee and manage project cash inflows and outflows, ensuring adequate liquidity for
ongoing and upcoming projects.
o Track, forecast, and report on project-wise cash flows, identifying gaps and
recommending corrective actions as needed.
o Administer and negotiate payment terms with suppliers, contractors, and clients as per
EPC contract requirements, ensuring timely payments and collections.
o Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for project funding, working capital,
and loan repayments
- Financial Reporting & Compliance:
o Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash
flow statement) for projects and the company.
o Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting
standards (e.g., Ind AS 115/ASC 606) and regulatory requirements.
o Monitor project costs to ensure adherence to budgets, identifying cost-saving
opportunities and implementing financial controls.
o Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements related to taxation, GST, and
renewable energy incentives.
- Stakeholder Coordination:
o Liaise with project managers, EPC contractors, procurement, and operations teams for
financial planning and execution.
o Support audits, due diligence, and investor reporting, providing necessary
documentation and analysis.
o Identify and maximize tax-saving opportunities, including renewable energy tax credits,
government grants, and accelerated depreciation.
o Ensure compliance with local, state, and national tax regulations and timely filing of
returns.
- Process Improvement & Risk Management:
o Continuously improve financial processes, controls, and reporting systems to support
company growth and regulatory changes.
o Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with project execution, contractual
obligations, and market fluctuations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 2–5 years of post-qualification experience in the renewable
energy sector (solar, wind, hydro projects).
Strong understanding of EPC contracts, budgeting, forecasting, and project finance in renewable
energy.
Proven experience in cash flow management, payment term administration, and financial modelling
for large-scale projects.
Proficient in accounting standards relevant to renewable energy, financial reporting, and compliance.
Advanced MS Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with ERP/accounting software
preferred.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Pay: ₹1,700,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
