Poition Summary
The Academic Coordinator is responsible for ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across the school. The role involves mentoring teachers, monitoring academic standards, supporting curriculum implementation, conducting classroom observations, and improving student outcomes through continuous teacher development.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Planning & Coordination
* Develop and implement academic plans in alignment with school objectives.
* Monitor syllabus completion and curriculum delivery.
* Coordinate academic activities, examinations, and assessment schedules.
* Ensure consistency in teaching standards across all grades and subjects.
Teacher Support & Development
* Mentor and guide teachers on subject knowledge and effective teaching practices.
* Conduct regular teacher training and professional development sessions.
* Support teachers in lesson planning and classroom management.
* Share best practices and innovative teaching methodologies.
Classroom Observation & Feedback
* Conduct regular classroom observations.
* Provide constructive feedback and coaching to teachers.
* Identify areas for improvement and create development plans.
* Monitor implementation of feedback and teaching strategies.
Assessment & Student Performance
* Review question papers, assignments, and assessment methods.
* Analyze student performance data and identify learning gaps.
* Coordinate remedial and enrichment programs.
* Support teachers in improving student academic outcomes.
Academic Quality Assurance
* Maintain high academic standards throughout the school.
* Ensure compliance with curriculum requirements and school policies.
* Review teaching materials, worksheets, and lesson plans.
* Monitor academic documentation and records.
Parent & Management Coordination
* Participate in parent meetings when required.
* Prepare academic reports for school management.
* Support academic events, competitions, and school programs.
Qualifications
* Master's Degree in Education or relevant subject.
* B.Ed. preferred.
* Minimum 5 years of teaching experience.
* Previous experience in academic leadership, mentoring, or coordination preferred.
