About the Role
Strate School of Design is seeking a passionate and experienced Transportation Faculty to educate and mentor aspiring transportation and mobility designers. The ideal candidate will have strong industry knowledge, excellent teaching skills, and a passion for innovation in automotive and transportation design.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lectures and practical studio sessions in Transportation Design.
- Develop and update course materials aligned with industry trends and academic standards.
- Mentor students on design projects, portfolios, and internships.
- Guide students in concept development, sketching, digital visualization, and model making.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, reviews, and assessments.
- Collaborate with academic and industry partners for workshops, live projects, and guest lectures.
- Participate in curriculum development and accreditation activities.
- Support admissions, exhibitions, design competitions, and institutional events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Transportation Design, Industrial Design, Automotive Design, or a related discipline.
- Teaching experience in a design institution is preferred.
- Relevant industry experience in transportation or automotive design will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of transportation design processes, mobility trends, and design thinking.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk Alias, Blender, Rhino, or similar tools is desirable.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and presentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Strong sketching and visualization abilities.
- Knowledge of future mobility, EVs, UX, and sustainable transportation.
- Ability to inspire creativity and innovation among students.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
