We are seeking a skilled CNC Plasma Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC plasma cutting machines, be detail-oriented, and possess a strong understanding of manufacturing processes. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC plasma machines to cut metal materials according to specified dimensions and designs.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation: Set up and operate CNC plasma cutting machines to cut steel in various shapes and sizes.
Blueprint Interpretation: Study and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine cutting requirements and specifications.
Material Handling: Load and secure materials onto the machine, ensuring proper alignment and calibration.
Quality Control: Monitor machine operations and finished products to ensure high-quality cuts and adherence to specifications. Perform routine inspections and make adjustments as needed.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on CNC plasma machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any machine malfunctions or discrepancies in the cutting process.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production runs, and maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience operating CNC plasma cutting machines or similar machinery in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine operation. Familiarity with plasma cutting techniques and technologies.
Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Mechanical Aptitude: Good mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on machinery.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical training or certifications related to CNC machinery are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and handle heavy materials and parts.
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
