Job Title: Retail Merchandiser – Textile Showroom
Location: T. Nagar, Chennai
Salary: ₹20,000–₹35,000 per month (based on experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Retail Merchandiser to manage product displays, inventory, and merchandising activities for our textile showroom. The ideal candidate should have experience in apparel, fabrics, sarees, ethnic wear, or retail merchandising and be able to drive sales through effective product presentation. Typical merchandiser responsibilities include managing displays, monitoring inventory, analyzing sales trends, and coordinating with suppliers and store teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and maintain attractive product displays for textiles, sarees, dress materials, and garments.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment.
- Analyze sales trends and customer preferences.
- Coordinate with purchasing and suppliers for new collections.
- Ensure correct pricing, labeling, and visual merchandising.
- Generate inventory and sales reports.
- Support seasonal promotions and showroom events.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Fashion, Textile, Retail, or related field.
- 1–3 years of merchandising experience in textile/apparel retail.
- Good knowledge of fabrics, garments, and fashion trends.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and inventory management systems
