Job Position Overview:
The Building Maintenance Engineer / Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, safety, and upkeep of all campus facilities. This role supports a safe and conducive learning environment by maintaining building systems and responding promptly to maintenance needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, evaluate, repair, and maintain plumbing, electrical, RO plant operation and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems across the institution’s buildings.
- Perform preventive maintenance, routine services and inspections to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Responsible for scheduling, manpower planning, and budgeting to ensure efficient building maintenance operations and optimal resource utilization.
- Monitor building infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with the Facilities Management team to arrange external contractors or specialist services when required.
- Receive, assess, and respond promptly to maintenance requests from faculty, staff, and students.
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies necessary to complete assigned tasks efficiently and safely.
- Ensure strict adherence to institutional safety policies, corporate procedures, and access control regulations at all times.
Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in Civil and MEP works
- Any UG Degree
