We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and proactive Accounts Professional to oversee and manage our day-to-day financial operations. In this role, you will be responsible for everything from foundational data entry and warehouse inventory billing to high-level compliance, tax filing, and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of solid accounting experience, specifically within the Organic Food, FMCG, or E-Commerce sectors, and must possess advanced expertise in Tally and statutory compliances.
Key Responsibilities1. Core Accounting & Financial Operations
- End-to-End Bookkeeping: Maintain error-free day-to-day accounting records, ledgers, and cash/bank books using Tally (Prime/ERP 9).
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Monitor client aging reports, follow up on outstanding market dues, and ensure timely payment collection from e-commerce partners and distributors.
- Accounts Payable (AP): Verify vendor, farmer, and supplier invoices against purchase orders, manage payment schedules, and handle processing.
- Banking Operations: Conduct daily bank reconciliations, manage cash flow updates, and handle banking documentation.
2. Statutory Compliance & Taxation
- GST Management: Accurate preparation, reconciliation, and timely GST filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B). Regularly reconcile GSTR-2B with purchase registers to maximize Input Tax Credit (ITC).
- Logistics Compliance: Smooth generation and tracking of E-Way bills for multi-state or local warehouse dispatches.
- TDS Compliance: Ensure accurate deduction and deposit of TDS on vendor payments and assist in quarterly TDS return filings.
3. E-Commerce & Warehouse Inventory Management
- E-Commerce Reconciliation: Reconcile monthly marketplace sales reports, return orders (RTO), payment gateways, and commission invoices (Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify, etc.).
- Inventory Auditing: Oversee physical stock verification at the warehouse, track batches, manage expiry/shelf-life tracking for perishable organic products, and reconcile discrepancies with the Tally inventory ledger.
- Billing & Dispatch: Supervise the generation of commercial tax invoices, delivery challans, and credit notes for warehouse operations.
4. Reporting & Analysis
- Financial Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) summaries, cash flow statements, and balance sheet updates for the management.
- Expense Auditing: Monitor and audit operational expenses, warehouse overheads, and logistics costs to identify saving opportunities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in an accounting role. Direct experience in the Organic Food, FMCG, or E-commerce industries is mandatory.
- Software Skills: Expert-level mastery of Tally (Prime/ERP 9) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Advanced Formulas).
- Compliance Knowledge: Deep, hands-on experience handling GST portals, GSTR-2B reconciliation, and E-Way bill portals independently.
- Skills: Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills for vendor coordination, and high absolute accuracy in inventory tracking.
- Education: B.Com / M.Com or a related accounting degree.
