We are looking to add a talented Medical Cosmetologist to our team who shares our passion for excellence and client satisfaction.
Job Summary
As a Medical Cosmetologist at Ryra Aesthetics, you will perform advanced cosmetology treatments under the supervision of the clinical dermatology team, provide client consultations, follow safety/sterilisation protocols, and help deliver an excellent client experience. You will be a key contributor to our skincare & hair-care service offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed client consultations to assess skin/hair concerns, history, expectations and suitability for treatments.
- Perform cosmetology treatments and procedures such as:
- Laser hair removal
- HydraFacial® and other medical-grade facials
- PRP (platelet rich plasma) treatments for skin and hair (if scope permits)
- Mesotherapy and other injectable or semi-injectable aesthetic therapies
- Microneedling, chemical peels, skin resurfacing technologies
- Follow and enforce all hygiene, sterilisation and safety protocols for equipment and rooms.
- Document client treatment plans, progress and follow-ups; maintain accurate records.
- Educate clients on pre- and post-treatment care (“after-care”), potential side-effects, expected outcomes and cost.
- Work together with dermatologists or clinical lead to triage clients who may need medical intervention.
- Maintain inventory of consumables, equipment and call attention to re-orders or maintenance needed.
- Keep up-to-date with latest aesthetic technologies, products, industry standards and training.
- Contribute to client satisfaction by ensuring timely service delivery, friendly communication and professional conduct.
- Assist in promoting new services, helping with clinic marketing efforts (e.g., explain new treatment when required) and help maintain the showroom/clinic presentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / Certification in Cosmetology / Aesthetic Therapy / Dermatology Aid (or equivalent) from a recognised institute.
- Previous experience (1-3 years or more) in a medicaesthetic or dermatology clinic setting is preferred.
- Good knowledge of skin & hair anatomy, common dermatological conditions (e.g., acne, pigmentation, hair loss) and aesthetic treatment modalities.
- Proficiency in operating and understanding aesthetic lasers, microneedling devices, PRP equipment, etc (or willingness to train).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English and local language (Tamil) – able to explain treatments clearly to clients.
- Attention to detail, excellent hygiene practices and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to work flexible hours (including weekends if required) and in a fast-paced cosmetic clinic environment.
- Aesthetic sense, professional demeanour and client-centric attitude.
Preferred But Not Mandatory
- Certification in advanced aesthetic techniques (laser certification, injectables, etc).
- Prior experience in sales or adding value via upselling treatments in a clinic setting.
- Knowledge of clinic management software or digital record-keeping.
- Good organisational skills: ability to manage bookings, follow-ups, and maintain smooth workflow
