At AFK Ventures, Business Development is not just about partnerships — it is about driving revenue, unlocking new growth channels, and building scalable business opportunities.
We are looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager who can identify, evaluate, and execute strategic initiatives that directly impact top-line growth and profitability. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and execution excellence.
You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to expand our presence across marketplaces like Myntra, Ajio, Nykaa, and Flipkart, while also exploring new revenue streams and business models.
Core Responsibilities1. Revenue Growth & Business Expansion
- Own and drive revenue growth initiatives across existing and new channels
- Identify new business opportunities including:
- New marketplaces
- Category expansions
- Product line extensions
- Strategic collaborations
- Evaluate and prioritize high-impact growth opportunities
2. Marketplace Strategy & Expansion
- Develop expansion strategies across Myntra, Ajio, Nykaa, and Flipkart
- Identify gaps in assortment, pricing, and positioning
- Work closely with internal teams to scale marketplace performance
- Leverage platform-specific opportunities (events, visibility, placements)
3. Strategic Partnerships & Alliances
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders:
- Marketplace account managers
- Brand partners
- Agencies and collaborators
- Negotiate commercial terms, promotional deals, and growth partnerships
- Drive co-branded campaigns and collaboration opportunities
4. Commercial Planning & Profitability
- Ensure all growth initiatives align with margin and profitability goals
- Optimize pricing strategies, discount structures, and contribution margins
- Work with finance to maintain healthy unit economics
5. Sales Strategy & Execution
- Plan and execute revenue strategies for key sales periods
- Drive performance during high-impact events (EOSS, festive sales, etc.)
- Monitor daily/weekly sales and pivot strategies in real time
6. Data-Driven Decision Making
- Analyze sales data, customer trends, and competitor performance
- Identify growth levers and underperforming areas
- Build reports and present insights to leadership
7. Cross-functional Leadership
- Collaborate with:
- E-commerce team (execution & platform growth)
- CRM team (retention & repeat revenue)
- Marketing team (campaigns & branding)
- Operations team (inventory & fulfillment)
