1) Machine Programming:
- Creation and editing programs for SMT pick-and-place machines.
- Package Teaching, and understanding of components.
- Define component placement coordinates, rotation, and polarity.
2) Component Setup
- Configure feeder positions and component reels and assigning correct package type (0402, 0603, QFN, BGA, etc.).
- Verify component orientation and polarity.
3) Machine/Process Optimization
4) Debugging & Troubleshooting
- Ability to address issues like: Misplaced components / Pick failures / Vision alignment/Mechanical errors
- Work with maintenance team to resolve machine problems.
5) Quality Control & documentation
- Ensuring Setup integrity
- Coordinate with AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) and QA teams.
- Maintain placement accuracy and yield rate.
- Maintain machine setup sheets and program files. And Record production parameters and changes.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of SMT process and PCB assembly
- 2-5 Years of Experience on pick-and-place Machine
- Understanding of electronic components and packages
- Basic CAD/PCB file knowledge
- Problem-solving skills
