Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Manager – Legal, Risk & Insurance to oversee all legal, risk management, insurance, and compliance-related matters of the organization. The role will be responsible for handling incidents involving theft, burglary, robbery, stock shortages, transit losses, employee fraud, and other operational risks. The incumbent will coordinate with police authorities, insurance companies, surveyors, advocates, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely claim settlement and legal compliance.
Key Responsibilities1. Insurance Management
- Manage all insurance policies related to:
- Stock Insurance
- Jewellers Block Insurance
- Transit Insurance
- Fire & Burglary Insurance
- Fidelity Guarantee Insurance
- Cash-in-Transit Insurance
- Employee Mediclaim & Group Insurance
- Coordinate policy renewals and maintain adequate coverage.
- Review insurance terms, conditions, exclusions, and risk exposure.
- Liaise with insurance brokers and insurance companies.
2. Claims Management
- Handle end-to-end insurance claim processes.
- Prepare and submit claim documents within prescribed timelines.
- Coordinate with surveyors, investigators, and insurance companies.
- Ensure maximum claim recovery and timely settlement.
- Maintain claim records and MIS reports.
- Follow up on pending claims and dispute resolutions.
3. Theft, Loss & Fraud Investigation
- Investigate incidents related to:
- Gold theft
- Stock shortages
- Missing ornaments
- Employee fraud
- Transit losses
- Burglary and robbery cases
- Coordinate with internal audit and security teams.
- Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare investigation reports for management.
4. Legal & Compliance Management
- Coordinate with company advocates and legal consultants.
- Handle legal notices, replies, and court-related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with:
- Companies Act
- Labour Laws
- Factory Act
- Contractual Obligations
- Local Regulatory Requirements
- Maintain legal records and documentation.
5. Police & Government Liaison
- Coordinate with police authorities regarding theft, fraud, and criminal matters.
- Draft and file FIRs and complaint applications.
- Follow up with investigating agencies.
- Represent the organization before relevant authorities when required.
6. Risk Management
- Identify operational and financial risks.
- Conduct risk assessments of:
- Manufacturing Units
- Retail Stores
- Warehouses
- Transit Operations
- Develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor compliance with security protocols.
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain incident registers and legal records.
- Prepare monthly risk and claim status reports.
- Present case updates to senior management.
- Maintain confidential records of investigations and legal matters.
Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
