Role Overview
A Desktop Support Engineer is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting computer systems, hardware, and software within an organization. They ensure employees can work efficiently without technical interruptions.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues (Windows, macOS, basic Linux)
Provide technical support to users (in-person, phone, or remote tools)
Set up and manage user accounts, email, and access permissions
Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues (LAN/Wi-Fi)
Install and update software applications and antivirus programs
Perform system upgrades, patches, and backups
Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation
Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets within SLA
Ensure security policies and data protection practices are followed
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows 10/11, macOS)
Basic understanding of networking (IP, DNS, DHCP)
Familiarity with Active Directory and Office 365
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of remote desktop tools
Basic hardware repair skills
Good communication and customer support skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹10,717.06 - ₹25,000.00 per month
