Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible, clinically competent, and patient-focused Resident Medical Officer (RMO) to provide round-the-clock medical care and support to admitted patients. The RMO will work closely with consultants, nursing staff, and other hospital departments to ensure timely assessment, treatment, monitoring, and coordination of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessment and regular monitoring of admitted patients.
- Take detailed medical histories and perform clinical examinations.
- Monitor vital signs, clinical status, investigations, and treatment response.
- Implement treatment plans prescribed by consultants.
- Attend to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate emergency management.
- Inform consultants promptly about any deterioration or significant change in patient condition.
- Assist consultants during rounds, procedures, and emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation, case sheets, progress notes, discharge summaries, and treatment records.
- Review and follow up on laboratory and imaging investigations.
- Coordinate with nursing staff regarding medication, investigations, procedures, and patient care.
- Ensure appropriate medication administration and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Handle night/emergency calls and provide immediate medical assessment when required.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their attendants regarding routine clinical updates and care plans.
- Coordinate referrals and consultations with other specialties as advised.
- Ensure proper handover of patients between shifts.
- Follow hospital protocols, infection-control practices, and patient-safety standards.
- Maintain professional conduct, confidentiality, and ethical standards at all times.
- Assist in maintaining smooth day-to-day clinical operations of the hospital.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS/BAMS from an MCI/NMC-recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the relevant State Medical Council/NMC.
- Internship completed.
- Previous hospital/RMO experience preferred but fresh MBBS graduates may also be considered.
- Good clinical assessment and emergency-management skills.
- Basic knowledge of ACLS/BLS is preferred.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
