Project Store Manager
Job Summary
The Project Store Manager is responsible for managing all store and inventory operations at a project site, ensuring the timely receipt, storage, issuance, and tracking of materials, equipment, and consumables required for project execution. The role focuses on inventory accuracy, stock control, procurement coordination, and compliance with company procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesInventory & Store Management
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure material availability for project requirements.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconciliation.
- Manage material storage to prevent damage, loss, or deterioration.
- Implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
Material Receipt & Issue
- Verify received materials against purchase orders, delivery challans, and invoices.
- Inspect materials for quantity and quality compliance.
- Issue materials to project teams as per approved requests.
- Maintain proper documentation for all transactions.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, vendors, and project teams.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Track material consumption and forecast future requirements.
- Support project planning by providing inventory status updates.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to company policies and inventory procedures.
- Maintain housekeeping and safety standards within the store.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous or sensitive materials.
- Support internal and external audits.
Asset Management
- Maintain records of tools, equipment, and project assets.
- Track asset movement and utilization.
- Ensure timely return and maintenance of issued equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Materials Management, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in store, warehouse, or inventory management, preferably in construction, manufacturing, infrastructure, oil & gas, or engineering projects.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and ERP software (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
